When something good happens to me
Most people around show that they‘re glad for me.
And some people say that I am so lucky
But they don‘t know how hard and how long
I‘ve been working and waiting for my luck.
They think I have found a recipe
To keep the muse on my side ‚
Cos they ignore how much pain
I had to go through in body and soul
Since I was that little girl looking for love
In a house full of violence.
And I feel that it's not fair
That the world I live in now
Can teach you how to write songs at school.
And I had to learn it by myself
And I had to learn it by myself
And I had to learn it by myself
Out of blood and tears.
I used to play that I‘m so strong
So I could deal with my pain.
And no one saw that I am just lost.
And no one could help me out of my shell.
So I kept screaming so low... Searching for love
And writing all these songs.
And I feel that its not fair
That the world I live in now
Can teach you how to write songs at school.
And I had to learn it by myself
And I had to learn it by myself
And I had to learn it by myself
Out of blood and tears.
